The Trinidad cockroach "Eublaberus distanti" is indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago, along with parts of Central and South America.
It is one of the simplest feeder cockroaches to care for. Measuring up to 5.5mm, they are slightly smaller than their relative, the Death's head, but they are more prolific.
These cockroaches flourish on a substrate made from soil or coir, and they appreciate having stacked egg crates for hiding. They thrive at room temperature, but it is best to keep them in the warmer range of 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. Their diet includes chopped vegetables and fruits, along with dry cockroach chow as a supplement. Given the right conditions, they can reproduce rapidly!
