The Lobster Cockroach, (commonly referred to as the wood roach, speckled cockroach, cinereous cockroach and Tampa roach) is among the most sought-after feeder cockroaches in the hobby. They serve as an excellent food source for reptiles, amphibians, mantids, and spider enthusiasts. They can grow to about 30mm and have a soft body.

The adults and nymphs are capable of climbing, which makes them appealing to geckos and chameleons.

These cockroaches prefer a soil or coir-based substrate, along with stacked egg crates for hiding. They thrive at room temperature but should ideally be maintained in the upper 20's to 30 degrees Celsius. Their diet includes chopped vegetables and fruits, with the addition of dry cockroach chow. Given optimal conditions, they can reproduce rapidly!
